196 HKU Scholars in World’s Top 1% according to Clarivate Analytics for 2024
Each year since 2009, the HKU Library has published a list of the top 1% researchers at the University. The list is based on Essential Science Indicators (ESI) data released by Clarivate and follows an internally developed methodology specific to each research field, while accounting for interdisciplinary research.
In 2024, the University counted a record-high of 196 scholars in this list. A detailed breakdown of faculty contributions follows with links to departmental stories where they exist:
